Thought some may enjoy watching some Fly Fishing for gills from a kayak. These were caught back in July but just had a day to spend editing 3 hours worth of video down to 7:40 minutes. Good for a rainy day :popcorn

Cool video Ronnie. What water were you on? Sure looks good.
Ronnie, do you use the U-tube editor? Cool video. Thanks for sharing. :)
Butch I just started using GoPro Studio. I did download the music from YouTube. They have a lot of free music for using with videos.
It has been a pain learning how to use the GoPro Studio but it does have all the edit tools needed.
I have been using Windows movie maker for years but with the GoPro camera the Studio is easier.
It took me around 4 hours of editing to make this video.
Thanks for sharing. Enjoyed and hope we can still get together and go kayaking at some point!
Stump, how much body weight can you put into one of those Hobie kayaks? I was looking to see if I can get my big butt in one so I can get out on Wylie plus it would do my knee good to peddle some for exercise. LOL :juggle
That Hobie kayak has a 350 limit. I just finished making my Wilderness Ride 115 into a boat that I can use the Hobie drive unit. The Ride has a 500 lb load limit and is very stable and paddle's very nicely once you add the rudder to it or you can buy the boat rigged out. My Ride I ordered from the west coast with all the rigging plus two down riggers and if I remember right the cost was 1200. Y'all have a great kayak store on Lake Wylie ( HuntFishPaddle we are the outdoors. Kayaks, Canoes, Fishing Gear and More. - HuntFishPaddle ) Would be best to look at them to see what you would like.
You will be surprised how nice these fishing kayaks are plus there isn't many places you can't fish even with the lake low :) Last year I took the Ride 115 to the cost and shark fished for three days, that was FUN!!! Hook up a big catfish and you will be hooked for life plus the striper's, Hybrids, bass, crappie, gills and any other fish are all fun to target.
That is the reason I started kayaking. A doctor suggested them to me because I needed to exercise but with the busted up back I can't walk enough to be any help to me. I am suppose to go two times a week for a hour or two paddle so I thought since I'm on the lake why not fish :highfive Now I fish more from the kayak than I do from my motor boat.
I have been fishing out of the WS Ride 115x for the past two years and love it! I have recently paddled the Ride 135 and enjoyed it as well. I need to look into the rudder, I have never thought about it. Stump, would you say it helps out enough to purchase?
I can stand in 115 safely and I am 260. I believe you fall out of the Ride 115 before it would flip. Great Yak.
Thanks, Stump Hunter I will check it out. I was at work and took a look on google and Charlotte has a Hobie Kayak dealer. But I am thinking seriously about getting something easy to get on the water. If I had one of those tubes and fins like the guys trout fishing in Idaho I'd do that until it got to cold. Thanks for the info. Good :fish to you!
Enjoyed the video Stump! How many did you end up catching? Thanks for taking the time to editing it and sharing.
PS: Thanks for the help on making screen shots on the HDS! I got it to work!
Close your ears to the prices of the Hobie kayaks, I have bought trucks cheaper LOL but they are very nice kayaks and offer a good kayak and have a model that a tank wouldn't turn over (Pro Angler). I have used three models of their kayaks and all have been great. Be sure to look at their Outback line, it is a 12'-1'' kayak. I used one for a day and liked it.
Lots of casting & catching going on in this video. Nice body of water there. Enjoyed the video too.
Stump, enjoyed it, but since fish caught in july I won't add it to the contest.
