The news just said the ramps at buster boyd, allison, south point were closed
doesn't sound promising
Duke is gonna run those turbines because that is the cheapest power on earth. They don't care about us fisherman. Money talks and bs walks.
So it's still usable?
Is all the ramps closed a buster boy? 2 were open, I was thinking about going later this week.
I haven't been there, but the Herald reported that all ramps were closed.
To be clear, your talking about the SP ramps?
The Lake Wylie Pilot newspaper says the only public access that's open now is the Nivens Creek Access in Fort Mill.
Is there a place near Nivens Creek to buy minnows?
Is Nivens still open ? Heard today it was shutdown. But could be rumor.
Sorry to steal your Thunder Thumper1, but Hydro is not the cheapest power Duke makes. The cheapest is definetly Nuclear. All the Hydro's on the Catawba river combined don't add up to one Nuclear unit. Got to take up for my employer. Bottom line is we need rain.
Don't have any thunder. The cost per MWh for hydro is much less than the cost per MWh of power generated by nuclear. We're not talking volume here, we're talking cost per MWh. I built and worked on turbines for 42 years in my former life. And I agree, three or four inches of rain would solve all of the problems.
