Lots of variables so remember, not everyone will get shots as good as these.
That's fantastic ! I just purchased a 999ci HD SI and can't wait to get it on my boat and give it a try. If I may ask, how much time have you spent adjusting the unit to your likes,
or are you just using the factory defaults. Also do you have the hi-speed transducer for SI ? Thanx again for the post !

Dave Your going to love your 999. Mine is set on advanced used mode and I tweak settings every time out. As you get to know your unit you will too. There is no real secret HB does all the work. I simply adjust to the settings my eyes can see best that particular day. Don't be intimated by the technology and don't be afraid to tweak your unit to your own eyes. You can always go back to factory defaults and start again ; as I have. There are plenty knowledgeable users on this site who are willing to help with technical stuff ; I am not that that sharp myself.
I believe the 999 comes with a HD transducer ; which is one of the reasons I chose it. Terry
I agree with IceNitro. I have a smaller and lower SI model (598) and I adjust mine every time I am on the water. I warn anyone who boards my boat in advance that I will be touching my electronics a lot before actually settling down to fish. I have had people complain that I play with my SI too much instead of fishing until I put them right on top of the crappies then that shuts them up. Good luck and have fun.
