Report:LOZ 9/11 weekend

Got here around 6:30pm
Unpacked the car and ran to the boat dock.
Trolled my flat and only picked up one after two passes.
Not much baitfish around.
Trolled over to a point near a big cove with docks near by.
Maid a point to get close to the docks and three of the four poles bent.
First triple!
And I landed all three. Even though I'm running back and forth on the boat to direct the trolling motor.
Turned and made another pass and picked up two more.

Hopefully this weekend is good.

And yes that's a hole in my shoe.

Nice! I need to figure these crappie out. I have been down Near LORA area since Thursday, trolling cranks/ jigging. Only have one crappie and a cat to show for it.

All I can say is look for a flat...
Not a steep bank going into the water.
Troll in 35 to 45' of water. 12 to 15' down.
Better if you see baitfish on screen.
I'm talking about main channel.
Haven't had any luck going back coves at all.

11 this morning and a kicker bass.

Hey Manny, when you say main channel are you refering to an arm channel like Grand Glaize or Gravios or the main main channel? Thanks

I'm on the grand Glaize ...
In the main of that arm.
I would think it would apply to the main main too.

Those are some nice ones Manny, congrats. Looks like your getting a work out running back and forth when fish is on.

Manny ,do you only fish on weekends? I will be there Mon. Staying in Osage Beach usually fish around Cofmann. The grand Glaize is that by the state park? We fished it once 2yrs ago an wasnt as good.

Yes I fish only the weekends... In less I take a day of vacation.
I own a condo in Osage beach, very near to the Grand Glaize bridge.
So I almost always fish the park area.
Which is from the Glaize bridge south on a map.

It took me a bit to find crappie in the area but now it's a no brainier.
Now it's just up to the fish to bite.
I very rarely fish docks.
But I do have a few I hit.

Thats where im staying is a condo. Cant remember the name maybe SeaBreeze. Its right by the golf course that has the catfish farm in the ponds. Seeing you live there is there a restaurant that has a good country fried steak with the white gravy?

Tire Biters is real good food and specials thru out the week.
And the catfish is to die for.
More of the locals hang out.
Will be bike week this weekend so the other restaurants will be full.
Most of those restaurants are more tourist attraction as I call them.
The food at them places is hit and miss.
Tire Biters is right before you cross the Grand Glaize bridge.

I know nothing about it.

I'll 2nd Tire Biters. Good place and I'm not even a fan of gizzards or livers.

They have Gizzards an Livers too. I love em. What about a country fried steak with white gravy.

The gizzards are a little rubbery but I like them like that.
And I won't touch a liver!
Crowded tonight but should clear out by Monday.
