Taking a week off with 22 of my closest friends all staying in one house on the beach. Note that I am wearing my c.c shirt on this Amberjack trip with 2 sons and our 3 oldest grandsons. We sacked 26-29" Jacks all morning long (9-11 lbs.). Wore us out! Tomorrow we leave the kids at home and look deeper for some bigger fish. If we find em my arms may fall off!

Nice, we always go to Navarre. About 15-20 min west of destin. You should look up capt Preston muller with gulf angler charters. He's a awesome guy and always puts us on the fish!

Taylmater- it's a small world man. We have fished for the last two days with Preston Mullers guys, Zach and Drew. Met Preston today when we came in from 7 hours of 5' swells in a 26' boat! It was rough but we caught a lot of cool fish. You're right- Gulf Anglers is my favorite charter too!
Did you get to go out in the new 33' ameracat? I've caught a ton of fish out of that 25ft sea hunt lol. It is a small world!
Would have been nice to be in the new catamaran in today's waves but we fished out of the 26' center console with the black hull. Really nice to fish from but rough getting there. The bean bag chair was a nice touch.
C2, looks like you and the crew are having a great time -- really nice looking fish too. I bet you'll be glad to get back home to some calm crappie fishing :biggrin

Very creative and kindly way to maintain the integrity of the Oologah thread Reaper. I was expecting someone to tell me and Matr to get a room! Heading home tomorrow hoping the crappie are still where I left em!
Here's a few more to prep you for next spring Taylmatr! This Red Grouper escaped being garlic butter sautéed by 1/2" dadgummit! Grandson Asher had a hard time kissing his first fish of the day but eventually came thru. Broiled a few mahi and boiled some jack chunks for poor mans lobster last night. Taking away some great memories from this trip- #1 may be a quote from our 3 year old grandson who made the understatement of the week . When 4 yo Brooks walked right into the pool and sank like a stone my daughter , Ginger dove in immediately and saved him- at which point her son McCoy says " good idea Mom!".
Man, you had a great fishing trip! Love ocean fishing.
