Just jack it up and pull a new one in under it. Then give me the old one.Just An idea. Nobody said it was a good one.
Hot pink shag!
It's a pain. If u do decide to do it yourself start on the storage lids to see if u want to tackle the rest .
Don't know your setup...but I have seen a lot of pics where folks used durabak instead of carpet, looks great.
Last year I bought an older model Tracker targa V 18 with the intentions of making an all purpose boat for Lake Murray. The carpet was shot so I opted to replace the carpet with Vinyl. It was a time consuming job as I did it myself and having had colon cancer surgery in Feb it took a long time to finish it. What type of boat do you have. I did a lot of research and a couple words of advice. Do not use carpet from big box stores. Go with marine carpet with the right adhesive and take your time and make sure to order enough. Carpet is a lot easier to put in. The hardest part is getting the old glue off. Don
Took me all winter to do a boat, but than again Bass Pro kept running me out of the store. I don't understand, they had everything I needed to fix the boat back like new again :dono :Rofl
You can do it! Don't get in a hurry and use the best materials you can get.
Yes you can. Would be a great time with the ramps closed down. Getting the old glue up is the hardest job.
I may hire Ofish to get the glue off. I hear he's out of work AGAIN, or he just refuses to do any work, but heck maybe he wants to work and no one will hire him so I've going to give him a chance, but i hope he's not looking to be paid in real money. I pay in GPS info!:biggrin
If any of yall have ever hired Ofish I'd appreciate you posting on this thread what he was suppose to do and if he showed up and what not.
wow, i hope it's not that bad,
grinder sounds serious
I do have access to a cutting torch. Ya need me when ? :biggrin:Rofl
With Ofish there you don't need a cutting torch. Just make sure he doesn't melt the boat just the glue
