Dang Fishers! Now you got my mind off work, and into the mountains. We are going last week of Oct. Plan on doing some fishing as well as elk hunting. Good looking trout.
Thanks. Good luck on your hunt! One of these falls I am going to have to do a bull elk hunt out west, it looks like too much fun to pass up.
Beautiful fish Fishers. Where's the picture of the corn meal and hot iron skillet?
Flashbacks to Colorado trip years ago.....thanks for posting

I usually dont fry em. The motels dont appreciate it, and if I am camping it helps keep the bears away. Its not that I am afraid of them, (I dont carry when I go) its just not fun to wake up with them rummaging around your camp at night tearing stuff up, or worse yet, being miles and miles in the back country and your pack and/or your equipment gets destroyed. Then you have to leave early and carry your stuff back down the mountains in your arms getting funny looks from people--- dont ask me how I know :Rofl
Where in Colorado did you get the quality trout? I fly fished the Colorado river head waters last year. Caught a 14" Brown and you would have thought it was a monster by the reaction of the other folks fishing that area.
Great pics! What fly pattern were they hitting on that day?
Mixed bag on the waters fished. The big rainbow and colorful brown are from the hog trough on the Taylor, the cutt from a high mountain lake, the smaller brown from the lake fork. I dont remember the flies for the Taylor, (best fly will change throughout the day due to the picky fish) but the others were on hoppers and flying ant patterns. Hard to beat those patterns in late August if your going to fish dries.
Great pics
