We are counting down the days until slabfest. We look forward to this trip every year.
Cuz and I will not be there this year. Changing the date to October just want work for our schedule.
I hope to make a trip first of next week or so. Work and weather permitting. I will post a report. Water temperature still a little warm but getting close.
Earl I know a guy that sales the Talquin fix for 100 dollars and it only takes one injection. But you can get hooked real easy. LOL. Wes
Man I need a fix too. I hope to make Slabfest Just not sure, but I've got it bad.
That's a great pic Earl, no one can paint them like the Almighty!

not on a lake but odd looking sunset .
A Talquin sunrise last November. No art that man makes is equal of what God can create. Wes
Relined every reel, checked every rod, put on my go to colors, cleaned boat, made a fresh 400 heads and had everything packed up ready to go at 5:30 this morning. Looked at radar and had yellow and red band with a lot of rotation. Made the decision not to drive down and be miserable. Especially first longline trip since March. Made right choice we ended up getting almost 2 inches and looked same towards the lake. Hope to go soon.
Here's a pic I took this past feb at Talquin. Was just talking to my partner today about how ready we are to get back down there. Love it down there
water still 83 degrees. needs some cooler weather. going out soon and trying.
