When does Crappie season open? I hear this many times and I have looked at the Ga/Fla DNR sites but cannot find when it opens.

Danbo i often wondered that to . guess that is during sponing and a easy catch .
Danbo, Grandpa told me it usually opens up around the first of October and ends the last of September. I think you'll be legal to go catch 2 or 3 :highfive
Official opening season is the first day of Deer Season.......course you can practice early. Also, when high temps is 80 degrees three days in a row it's crappie season.......I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express.
I done learnt so much already.
I hear the same thing over here in Alabama, hope I ain't breaking any laws.
I jest hope the DOJ don't come for me. I have been crappie fishing all year for 55 years. I do take Bream, trout, Bass, Dove, Turkey, Deer breaks from time to time.
Open??? I never knew it closed. I catchem all year. Toughest for me is Dec-Feb.
Need to come to Talquin during that time.........it's good when they in the channel.

i caught a good mess this past week . don`t tell Ga Dnr .:yikes:biggrin .was going to take picks but the card in my phone went out .maybe e good it would be evidence against me .
