Cool video man! I can't believe how many times they were mouthing the jig and not getting caught. It was almost like someone was pulling the broken hook gag on that guy. Also a few of those crappie had some really black heads. Either they were melanistic or it was the spawn.
I've seen times on brushpiles in hot weather even more so when they mouthed a jig. Heck when they just bump it and even catch them outside the mouth . That clear water probably did not help .

I laugh every time I am told crappie don't feed down.
I have experienced several times when I had to fish below the fish to get bit..
Casting a jig and bobber, the bobber will lay on its side, when you set the hook there is 2' of slack.
Shallow up and no bite, go back deep and get bit.
Has happened to me many times!
