Thanks Man it was a very tough thing to do and it took us a year and a half getting it done. Now we wait for the major ebook retailers to pick it up. Its a real anxious time.
-
Good luck to you. From reading your posts, you should have a following.
-
A really good day today our book is now on amazon as well and hopefully Barnes and Noble early next week. Who knows may make some fishing money from it.:biggrin
-
Barnes and Noble
We got an email today confirming our book is now listed on Barnes and Noble:biggrin. So now we are now on all major ebook retail sites. It was a chore getting it up and excepted and took a few failed attempts, we aint very geeky and hadda learn some formatting stuff but its done had here it is :
Space Freighter First Dock: Neo-Eden by Cappy and Pegody | 2940152082555 | NOOK Book (eBook) | Barnes & Noble
Now if I can sell a few copies it would help. We plan to take a week off clear our heads and start another one. The writing forum I frequent is very encouraging and say that we are off to a good start but to me it seems slow. It's been 4 days as we claw our way on to the major sites and we have sold 12 coppies and 35 people have down loaded a free sample so thats a start. Once we start getting some favorable reviews that will open even more doors. That will take a while the book is 498 pages so its a long read and I doubt any one has finished it yet.
-
Congratulations! Writing a book is about the next thing to having a child. It will be around long after you are gone.
-
thanks T never thought of that. It has long been on both of our bucket list so now that we had the time we did it. ALL WE NEED NOW IS FOR A FEW THOUSAND FOLKS TO BUY IT SO WE CAN AFFORD SHINERS:biggrin
-
Well, I hate to not buy it, but I don't read for any length of time on the computer. I will get a first edition paper book. And I want it signed. Best of luck with the sales. "D"
-
Ditto on that. Only read hard copy myself. Want my signed as well.

Long ago I got tired lugging a grocery bag full of paper backs to work on the boat and having most of them borrowed and not returned or rode hard and put up abused by my crew and the dock guys. I bought an ebook reader and now in one small book I carry several hundred novels. Sorry yall feel that way. For scifi fans, I think is a good story. Paper books cost money to produce which we don't have. For now its an ebook. It can be down loaded to any reader, tablet, smart phone etc. You can even buy it and print all 500 or so pages ya self. Anyways I thought maybe some of yall would be interested.

I am sure it's very good Cappy being the story teller you are. And, I'm sure lots of folks will like it being on the electronic version. It's just me, prefer to read hard print. I'm an avid reader, consume more hard print in a month than most do in a year if not more. Nice work you guys have done.

Thanks, it meant a lot for some one to like it that much. Maybe now more reviews will start coming in its a long read almost 500 pages. Several folks sent us emails saying they look forwards to reading it and have started the first few chapters but most folks don't have a lot of time to read. I just hope more people buy it and it brings them enjoyment
-
Good luck with it Cappy, maybe it will catch on big and then a movie will follow.

Our book now has a new professional cover by an award winning cover artist. We also made a table of contents for it linked to the book so if you click on a chapter it takes you to that page a trick we learned from our geeky son. Here is the new cover.

Thanks Gene, we really like it better than the first one and so far so good we now have 4 reviews on amazon and they all 5 star. Seems st least a few people like our futuristic tale.
-
Cappy I'm not a scifi fan but I may make an attempt to read the 10% part only because I like your stories.

Ahhh thanks Gene but if it aint ya thing we understand. I have always been a sci fi fan but not Peggy when I started writing she wanted to help me by doing some beta reading and editing. She got so into the story that she dove in and got to know the characters and really added alot in the back ground story. I smile sometimes when she says "doesn't that person remind you of .................. one of the characters in the book. Let us know what ya think, like it or not we value input. Our neighbor across the street is reading it and he doesn't like SCI fi but says he is really enjoying the story. As for me I am a big ole geek and can hardly wait for the new star wars to come out it has been a long time coming and I am actually glad I have lived long enough to see it ........Lord willin' :pray
-
I must be honest Cappy, I've never seen a Star Wars or any other sci fi. The last thing I remember watching was Lost in Space on TV way back when. I can't count that far back.
