This leaves Oct 24th as the most likely date for the Fall Brawl. And even that date may have competition with opening day of early Fall Turkey season, and possibly some members will be pre-fishing Cumberland for the following weekend's CUSA Super Event (those that have to work during the days leading up to that weekend).
No date is "set in stone" as of yet, but I will be in touch with Chucky (asap) to determine the date, pending availability of the picnic pavilion & a cabin. Once that determination has been made, I will be posting the particulars & a volunteer sign-up for food & other necessities.

Update on Fall Brawl date ?
Gonna have to be Oct 24th, if we have it in Oct .... otherwise we'd have to wait & have it Nov 7th. The only problem with having it in Nov is the COE closes the restrooms and we'd have to contact them & have them send someone to unlock them.Quote:

After I hooked him up with 4 bags of FEE-LAYS (no pun intended Hollywood) he wanted to go see this water.
Ray Ray .... there's very little chance that the Fall Brawl could occur on the 24th. We're still waiting on Chucky to finish up his CUSA Classic, and contact our girl in COE (to find out if they'd rent the pavilion & open the restrooms in Nov). Earliest shot we have at it is Nov 7th, and that's all dependent on Chucky & COE. Chucky has been working long weekday hours & some weekends in order to get his work caught up ... then his COE contact was on vaca last week, and he's at Patoka this week.Quote:

But, with the COE closing things down at the end of this month, and the Oct 24th date being too close to consider, and Oct 31st being Halloween and also the CUSA Cumberland Tourney .... Nov 7th is the first available date that I deemed feasible ... and even that date would/could have problems (like no restrooms available).Quote:

Ladies & Gentlemen ... the Fall Brawl will not be held this year, due to circumstances beyond our control.
We do look forward to having our Spring Fling next year, and hope to have a record crowd attending & participating in the festivities.
In the meantime, I would have you consider attending the KY Lake Shindig, if possible, as I've heard they have a great time at their events.
