Well I was putting the Wicked Crappie boat in this morn and 2 guys with a bobcat were there.
First they pulled sand out of the ramps, then put up 2 concrete barriers at the Allison ramp.

Won't be long and they will be closed as soon as the sand get back in them. I would have thought the other two would be open but they are shallower than the first two.:popcorn
whats the sand got to do with it?
Builds up on top of ramp and bogs your tires down, you have to go farther back to get your boat in the water. You must not have used when sand was in there. Most people avoid them. Some times people get stuck there in the sand with long trailers.:highfive.
Pontoon guys will really have a hard time in the first slot because of the sand washing in from the waves off of the sand bank right beside the ramp. All those wakes everyone complains about and fast approaches into the ramp keeps it washed up in there. The second one will fill up to but not as bad due to the first one blocking it some what. If the water get lower only kayakers will use the ramps. :popcorn
It appears that the White Perch are smarter then you give them credit for. Sensing their demise in the making, they decided to pull the plug on the lake to prevent you guys from getting to them.

Wait until these guys push that sand back in there. Hearld said they make waves like in the ocean. Land owners probably won't like this with no wake zones. The ski club already has a few people mad with them going by the fishermen with big waves. :banghead I hope it don't go over so well because it will be rough out there holding on to the side rails. They don't go by just once they have to turn around and come by again.
Wakesurfing event coming to region
Wakesurfing competition planned Sept. 12 Riders perform tricks on perpetual waves Event also promotes the lake and Tega Cay
These issues about the ramps would not be a problem if you guy's would all just invest in a good GM product to pull your boats with:ThumbsUp:ThumbsUp
4x4 of course!
I have a Ford, is that any good :popcorn
F250, 1x4
I don't know you may need a winch with that ford! LOL:Rofl
Get you a Dodge and pull the rest of em out ! :cheers2
Heard they shut down ebanezer ramps today.
what causes biggest problem is them G M Dodge and Toyokos that couldn't hold the trailer slid off blockin the ramp
and sand bouncing off of um plugging um up so all can pull anything out is one them bad supper stout FORD trucks  Rofl
It's going to be tuff here soon. You can see the end of the ramps pretty good at Big Allison. I hope it don't get any worse. All I can say is good luck fellows. :popcorn
Hey leave my Toyota out of this.:Rofl
I don't have a dog in this hunt!:popcorn
Tuesday marked the 16th straight day where Lake Wylie sat more than 4 feet below full pond. Under normal conditions, 3 feet below is the target and 6 feet below is the minimum level before the shallowest water intakes or other environmental factors are threatened.
Joe Stowe, executive director of the Lake Wylie Marine Commission, learned about the closings Monday night. Stowe had received calls about low water for weeks and had warned residents to be mindful of a lower lake level. Still, Stowe didn’t expect ramp closings this soon.

How in the helk am I suppose to put fresh crappie on the table if I can't launch the SS Crappie King?
My kids are hooked on them and I don't want to make the wife mad!nonono:witching
Fish from the bank or pier. I saw whiskerwhipper fishing on the pier yesterday and he was catching crappies. Nice fellow to meet, I enjoyed talking to him. He was catching and releasing so you'll have a few to take home.:biggrin
I like to drag a log out of the woods and use it like a raft. Fish off it.
Poor mans bass boat😂
Is the Buster Boyd ramp still open? It's usually the last one to close.
Haven't heard anything about BB ramp. I just hoping 2 of the Allison ramps are still open. Also, no one ever made it clear if ALL the ramps are closed at Ebinezer
I heading out in the morn so I'll find out about Allison
As of this afternoon Big Allison Creek will be closed. One ramp open for who ever in out on the water. Three closed and they were waiting to put last barrier in place at five o'clock. Also! Ebenezer has one more foot to go and it will close it's ramps. Look for it on the news or log on to their web page to check status. Didn't make trip up to Buster Boyd for the traffic at 5pm. Here's a couple of photo's. First is Big Allison Creek. Second and third Ebenezer Landing.

Oh Poop on that
I launched today at Allison, slot number 3 and I did just fine.
How about they put up a sign stating the risk to big trailers.:dono
Ramp 3 was open this AM and fine. No problems at all. The lake hasn't fallen that much in 4 days !!!!
Not that I can catch a fish but I do like to try.:banghead
Ebenezer is much harder to launch from. IMO
What is the latest on the boat ramps? Can you still put in at busterboy? I'm thinking about going some where, would like to fish wylie maybe this weekend.
Heard on the news last night about Buster Boyd closing. I'd like to get to Wylie also and this doesn't look good. If Buster Boyd is closed, maybe they can get the parking lot repaved or at least do some repairs with no traffic in the way
Last I heard was two ramps closed at Buster Boyd and Ebenezer had not closed any but if water dropped another foot they would shut down their ramps. So, Nivens is still your choice when everything else close's. Just hope the bass guys don't take up the whole parking area.:popcorn
Maybe i NEED to use south point landing?
this is going to bother me pretty soon
Guess Im going to have to buy a house on the lake but I was trying to avoid that since I cant swim and Rusty hated the water too, but the did drink it.
