If we can get a head count of some kind that will help us to know how much fish to thaw out. As you all know once its thawed out it needs to be fried> We all know how tough its been to get the crappie this year !!
I really feel this will be the best shindig so far. I understand that there will be some members bringing there boats to talk about there setup for a particular type of crappie fishing and why that do it that way.
I will bring mine with the gadgets that I make so other members can see how they work and how they mount up ect. I have a new piece of equipment I have been working on with a couple of members I would like to show that day. And the swap meet area will be fun also.
I've got the hushpuppies
I'll get the bottled water ...on ice ...

Well I was down to at the lake last weekend.
One warning for those whom have not been there in a while the water is low be very careful. I had a little trouble launching my boat by my self. Thanks to a fellow fisherman who back my truck in deeper while I was in the boat. If you have a partner you should be fine. I use the launch at the Moors because its very Long and not steep and its clear. Last year I lost a prop loading up at the big bear ramp. But I have been told they have fixed that one. Moors is only 5 min from my house.
Before I hear any thing I was a baby I got up late and then was too big a sissy to go fish in the rain by my self. so I did not fish the FJ. I feed Dean the night before so that should count as just putting the money in his account right??
Ok back to the Shindig Dean took me over to see the pavilion at Mike Miller park. All I can say is WOW!! That thing is freaking nice! He first told me it hat curtains for sides I was thinking ok it my be a little cold but we will be ok. WRONG It has folding sides. Like an accordion it will be sealed up very well no wind can blow thru. It has a very nice fire place and ceiling fans. We are going to get there around 9:30/10:00 That Saturday morning to set up and get the fire started. Between the fire place and all the hot air some of us can produce we will most likely need to open up some of the sides.
Everyone from the last FJ donated the fish that was caught. So as of now we have 96 fillets. If we can also get the fish donated from the FJ the day before the fish fry we can use those and then freeze what we do not need from that mess.
As of now I have 31 CDC members accounted for for the fish Fry.
If you were going to bring fish just hold off I think we will be ok.
I'll bring a 5 pound bag of french fries and a couple quarts of baked beans.
Still can bring some fillets if needed.
Yes bring some fish
We are at 38/40 people so far
I don't know how many french fries we will need but there will be a Food Giant grocery and deli less than a mile from the event for last minute stuff.
