Maybe it's just the color I put the Red on, but don't really think so. Anyway now that I did it unsure if I like it a lot or not at all, LOL! Crazy huh? Anyway what do you guys think?

That sucker is busy. LOL
Definately LOUD!! but let the fish tell you.
Looks good skip all you can do is try it and see. I make that jig with out the red and it's a killer.
The fish will let you know if they like it.
I bet it will get bit
Id fish that all day.
I agree - let the fish decide. Keep the grease hot. lol
I like the red. Bet it would work great in our small Southern rivers.
Thanks guys really appreciate the feed back!
lowe175 I also fish several colors close to this without the Red. Mostly a Silver/FL Yellow/FL Blue which I found for me seemed to catch larger fish more than others, but maybe it was just luck of the day? That is kind of what made me do this and I took the FL Chart Estaz in regular size and then made the dollar using Grande Red Estaz. I was thinking I wanted the red to have longer hackles to stick out some. It's not easy to do on a Sickle hook because of the short strait portion of the shank, but it's not all that hard, just could use a little more room to have more of the Chart.
I did have visions of this with a little longer Chart part and then the longer Red hackles streaming back over the Chart, but not covering it all up either, LOL!

I like it Skip. My wife said it looked like it was going to a party. So take it to a crappie party and let it get bit. It will surely catch the attention of a few eyes.
Looks a little "redneck" to me, which means it probably will catch fish.
Its bright, that's for sure. I like it.
On a humorous note...it kinda resembles the fringe on a grannie's knickers. lol
I like it. Try one in Mardi Gras colors. yellow, green and purple. I esp. liked RetiredRR's comment about the redneck.
Skip I would think the red will work great for the gills or wounded bait. At first look it is loud but it gets better looking each time I look at it. :ThumbsUp
It does kinda scream, don't it.
Kind of looks like this...

I certainly would bite it if I were a fish before it tried to eat me!
Very nice looking tie Skip. I did a red white and blue theme for the 4th and had fun jigging it.
I agree. Let the fish decide. You don't know how they feel at the moment. Still like
I think that would work great here in the tannic waters of the St. Johns River
Looks good, like PartyTime, that would be a good name for it don't ya think?
