Any one know of a camper space that can be rented by the month on Wateree?
I think there use to be one in beaver creek, close to the bridge .Im not sure if they are still there or not.Mabey someone will chime in that knows for sure.
in Fairfield county the way the county has the land zoned it will be hard to find a lot of your own to put a camper on.you have suttons landing in taylor creek and outboard boaters club in wateree creek both have long term use with the outboard boaters club being family oriented only.
Wateree Marina also has some long term spots, but I don't believe they are on the water.
Can always call the state park as well and I agree $300 is very reasonable for a month.
Thanks for all the info! $300 might be reasonable at Wateree, but I know for a fact that there are at least two water front camp grounds on Murray that are $160/month plus $12 (minimum) for utilities. I am just wanting to fish Wateree and Fishing Creek more.
What part of NC you coming from? If I can think of the name I will let you know ,,I do feel it wouldn't be in the high rent district like all the stuff at wateree.,,hey just up the road from there is a road named poor boy.It goes down to the lake so I don't really think there's no poor boys there,,Mabey way back in the day but not now.
Wateree Lake Campground by Beaver Creek is the name of the place. A friend of mine's parents have a place on Beaver Ck. We would get our bait and grub there. Nice clean place from what I remember.
Saluda River Resort for one. I'm going to omit the name of the 2nd place, because they only have 1 spot open and I'm seriously considering renting it. The rates are current, they were quoted at the first of this month. I have a friend who has had a spot at the Saluda River Resort for many years. According to him, his rate is $125/month.
It's not all that far upriver, besides, I like it up there!
We liked it as well. Not much boat traffic to worry about. When you got a slow boat it takes a while to reach mid lake, but we mostly fished in the river and back waters.
We rent a site year round at Wateree Lake RV Park & Marina @ $329.00/mo + power.
They have a small marina with 12 slips and you can also tie up on the bank.
