I made some similar a couple years back. Coffee cans , concrete, and poly gas tube. Recently bought a SI fish finder and I can't get them to show up on the screen.

It should have done the job, but my 997 didn't do good.

DonG, Billbob and I dropped a couple of markers about 15 feet apart and made passes with the HDS8 and 997. You can view the results here.

I would like a follow up on these coffee can crappie habitat. It has been a while now since you dropped these and I am wondering if they were worth the time and money(PVC pipe,concrete,glue,etc) to build and to drop these. Are you still seeing them and did you catch many off of them. They do look great and I have a real good supply of coffee cans as we drink a lot of coffee. I made some years ago with a wood center and they lasted about two years and I recount they finally fell apart.here is the post of the ones I made.Sure would like to have some feed back from everyone that has tried the coffee cans also.

Recently bought a couple of crappie condos from America Fish Trees. I feel they are very affordable, easy to assemble on the water and to deploy. I used 5 gallon bucket with sackcrete. Here is what one looks like with a non sonar, traditional and low end chart/fishfinder.Attachment 259210
