Man! That sux. I hope theyre caught and they throw the key away when they get in jail. I hate a thief. I hope your insurance is good enough to replace everything if it isnt located.
Well that would suck. Good Luck catching them and/or getting reimbursed.
I sure do hate to hear of your truck and trailer being stole. I have used that ramp many times but it is looking like no ramp is safe anymore. Something has to change in this country.
Good luck finding it / or dealing with the insurance co and will keep a eye out for it.
They can be replaced, thank god you did not walk up on the thief while they were stealing the boat trailer and truck. That is why I carry my 10 buddies with me. A few years ago a fisherman in GA launched his boat, tied to a dock and went up to park his truck. Walking back to go fishing, two guys pulled up to his boat, one jumped into his boat and they took off. These, couldn't say what I think, have no value on anybody, but themselves. I was thinking about your situation, if I was away from home and this happened to me, how would I retrieve my boat? How would I take it to where I am staying?
I was going thru AL 3 months ago and my F150 broke down and I had to be towed. I ask AAA, what about my boat, they said call a friend. A good smaritan stopped to help me and he ended up towing my boat to his house. Later in the day, he towed it to the motel and parked it for me. I have since add my trailer to my policy.
Had stuff stole from me too! Four wheeler and trailer while I was in shower getting ready to go to work. Cops caught this guy a couple of years later. I had his name 2 weeks after he stole it but they couldn't do anything because no one saw him do it. 12 years is what he got ! It took someone to rat him out to find it on his property of course I got it back all tore up. Four wheeler that cost me 7,200 and 1800 to put back together. But it's also a shame that the insurance co. didn't pay off either. I feel they are just as big of thieves and the law allows it. Sorry for you loss and hope you get it back soon. I hope they get these people and give them the max!:twocents
Yea it sucks . Truck had full coverage but dk about the trailer being covered and even so I will have to make one to match the boat plus they got allot of personal stuff and valuables with the truck.
My bro-in-law had a covered Harley Davidson trailer stolen from his son's yard here in Ga and the next year when it was time to renew the tag the trailer was found along side the road in the state of Washington. I guess the thief knew without a title he couldnt renew and didnt want to get caught with it so he simply pulled off to the side of the road and unhitched it. It was empounded and the numbers were ran and my bro-in-law recieved a phone call.
Update the truck and trailer was located thursday. Truck was painted and beat up.trailer was cut upAttachment 211424Attachment 211425
Unreal!!!! What town was it found at.
Mile from last place it was seen.still in iva
Keeping the neighborhood safe!! nonono
Hate it happened but I am glad that it was found. I just hope they spend some time off the streets but the way our courts work today they will be looking for other stuff to take home with them way to soon...
Oh yea pretty sure he was only in there three nights
Wow, how was it found? What were they charged with? I would hate to get back to the landing and not find my truck or trailer.
Somebody snitched him over a dnr ticket. Receiving stolen goods
At least you know where it went.
If the courts dont handle it right then atleast you know who the dude is. Maybe some Southern justice?!? I would take time from work if needed and DEFINITELY try to ensure that guy spent time behind bars. I'd try making life miserable for him one way or another. Did I mention I HATE a thief!
I live near Lowndesville, would you share the names of the one who stole it and the one had recieved it?
I agree and would love to but when there was tons of personal info in the truck including address and pics of my three year old makes me timid to do something. Hek all them meth heads got all day to plan and steal. I got to work for a living so leaves my family and home vulnerable.
We had the sheriff come speak to our striper fishing club a few years back. One thing he told us was that in SC you can be legally armed when you go fishing. Ok to carry along a pistol, you do not have to have a carry permit when going fishing and hunting. All the meth heads and crack addicts, better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6...boat ramps can be dangerous places, especially after dark. Really sorry to hear of your troubles.
Yea I've always carried when hunting or fishing. Investigator told me it get so bad at one point guys were putting there boats in the water and sitting in there boats with a rifle waiting for some body to mess with there stuff
Thanks for the info,I'll inform as many as I can about these low lifes,I don't know any of them, but am interested in learning what I can about them so I'll know them if I see them.
