Look out fish, DrNip is in the house. Very nice. How long are those?
The Plastic Surgeon is at it again. Nice bait but boy howdy that is some major spru for remelt.
That's a big mold
2.4"
Ah the sprue can double up as a worm for bass fishing! Lol
Lol just realized I put this in the wrong forum. Oh well. I tried.
Nice looking baits!
I count 48 bait on a string? You're using what, about a one quart injector?
Nice stuff as always.
Wow those are good looking!
WOW !
Now that is quality production !
"Great Looking Bait" :ThumbsUp
billygee
Who made that mold it looks like a bass tackle or could I be wrong anyway you have beautiful looking mold their of course that is a production type for sure.
Yes it is a Bass Tackle 48 count cavity mold. I bought the Do-It 9.5 oz injector, which I am amazed on how much better it is over my Bass Tackle injector. Just seems more smooth when injecting and the plunger is a tighter fit to the inner wall of the chamber than my Bass Tackle.
When shooting a full bait and tail it takes around 8 oz or so of plastic which I will mix up a 12 oz batch. If just shooting bodies onto tails it takes around 6 oz of plastic or so and I mix up an 8 oz batch.
Here is another one I did while everyone was napping yesterday. Took roughly 27 minutes to shoot 4 dozen and let cool. Having a separate mass production tail mold makes life a breeze too. :)

Still working it.

Good looking colors. Man that's a lot of baits at one time.
Have you tried to dual injector on that mold yet. I bet you they would be awesome.
DrNip
Those are awesome ! :ThumbsUp
You put a price on those Babbie's Yet ?
If you don't me asking what was your recipe on that Lime Green tail
billygee
The baits lay sideways in the mold or else I'd do a dual injection. I mean I could but one side of the bait would be different than the other instead of top and bottom.
4 oz Do-It Essentials plasital
14 drops X2 chartreuse
4 drops X2 fluorescent green chartreuse
1 drop X2 emerald
Some times I had a splash of green and/or blue hi-lite as well as UV. Black flake is .008, .015 and .04.
Those look great! Let me know if you need a mississippi field tester :biggrin
that is too bad I am sorry to hear that that is a good-looking bait and I was thinking about buying that mold but I definitely wanted a belly color and back color making a 2 color bait would be very time-consuming in the way that you were doing it but sometimes that is the only way to go pulling the body off.
Do-It has the 2.5" stinger in a 24 cavity production mold. It's cavities are the right orientation to allow dual injections/laminate plates. I'll probably be getting it soon too for this purpose. Really wish the Bass Tackle laid the other way though as I prefer it more.
DrNip
Kinda Speaks for itself
Look'n Good :ThumbsUp

Man those look awesome!!!
