Took some guys to Sardis this past Saturday. Caught em on cranks. 23-30' of water 60-100' of line out.

Got out this morning to do some jigging in the pads. Partly cloudy skies and stained water greeted me as I launched the boat. I found the fish in 4-5 fow about a foot deep in the thickest jungle of pads I could get my jig in. Arkie 1/8 oz chartreuse and orange head with a chartreuse/white Arkie Pro Tube had crappie and bad alike ready to get in the boat

Spent the afternoon on Ole Stumpy. Didnt catch a lot, but was able to put a few thumpers in the boat! Attachment 2083131/8 oz white head with a Midsouth 102.

Caught one of these beauties on the Arkie 350 (CD3-21 Chartruese/Black stripe). It was my first trip of pushing cranks. Took two different guys with me on two different days and they are now converts to the crankbait fishing as well. Sure is fun!!

First time trolling with the 2" Arkie tubes and it worked like a charm! Slow trolling 5-8ft deep in 13 feet of water. Orange/chartreuse and white/chartreuse worked best. Attachment 208580

Not all fish are in big waters and caught from fancy boats. I went old school yesterday. Grabbed the skulling paddle and threw the 10' boat in the truck. A short drive to a small bar pit and it was crappie time. Fish were caught on woody cover with a 1/32 oz minnow head jig and a Arkie Pro Tube in chartreuse/white.

Hopefully bluegill reports count. We caught 25 good bluegill on crickets on Lake Conway. Boy those males are getting skinny!

I hit the lake at daylight (7-17) for a little dock-shootin! I am a devout single pole guy, but this method is quickly becoming a very close second! I caught this thumper on a 1/16oz Shinee Hinee in silver/chartreuse.Attachment 209545

The Mississippi finally crested so I thought I'd check out one of my favorite "mud holes".
Pulled over the levee and found the road to the boat ramp under water. The river is 25 feet above the normal stage I fish. Just wanted to get out and look around.
