Had the vise for a while, just now trying to do something with it. This is my very first jig in all it's sloppy glory. I'll update this thread when it catches it's first fish. :-)

I LIKE IT!!! "20 WATT'S JIGS" I would name it a wattisitjig.
Nice Jimmy! I like it too! Thanks for sharing with us.
nice.....
It ain't got to be pretty to catch fish, only fishermen. Not bad for a first and much better than my first. Thanks for posting it.
"gene"
good job.....bet it will catch a fish
20Watt, I just started tying a few jigs too. That one looks great. I have not tried a 2 tone jig like that one. But I might now. I like it. Probably work well on the Bonn Idee.
Nice looking jig and I like those colors! I'll bet that will catch fish. Thanks for posting.
Thatll do it right there... Looks good!
WAAAAAAY better than my first. Oh its on now...can't wait to see more. All hair too NICE
That will catch a fish.
i agree, looks good , also agree with D, a new jig in the world ,,,a wattisitjig.
It is a pretty jig !!!! I learned to use glue in each layer tied as well as on the hook. I sent a few to fishervet to field test. some of them fell apart before the fish had a chance to see them
Yes there's a learning curve for sure. Found some YouTube videos but you still have to get a feel for it. I think my main problem so far is using too much material per jig. Speaking of that, now I need to get some chenille and more tail material for diff jigs I wanna do.
One more thing, after tying a few jigs and powder coating and painting eyes on about 100 jig heads I could never do this to sell. I couldn't put a price tag on the amount of time invested in this stuff. My hats off to the guys that do sell....
You are so right 20watt, trying to figure a price would be impossible. I'm glad I'll never have to worry about that. Just tying some for me to fish with and maybe a few to give away as a blessing to some of our CDC brothers and sisters. I'll be glad when I catch my first fish on a jig that I tied.
Well as promised I would update this thread when I caught a fish on my first jig. Today was that day, it's a whopper boys.... There is a certain sense of accomplishment comes along with it even if it is a runt.
sweet Jimmy Watt.....now send me that jig!!!!!!!!
That is awesome Jimmy. Think of all the big ones he had to fight off to go first. I love looking at all the work of you jig makers. But alas, I'm a buyer, not a tyer. (not sure on the spelling, but it rhymes)"D"
Way to go
