Cappy & Pegody's World: Old-Fashioned Fig Preserve
Looks good.
Hey Todd, you've been holding out on me. Also you're ahead of me, I hope to be putting mine up in a few days.

I have been eating a bunch this week. Mine aren't too sweet this year with all the rain.
Never tried that before but it sure looks & sounds good.
looks good and brings back memories
I found out today that my favorite fig tree for making preserves was chopped down. Now I'm in a bind.

Lost my tree for Katrina. Luckily my in laws have one ; )
My neighbor sprayed roundup under the tree I usually get mine from. (In another neighbor's yard) Really stunted the growth this year. Very few leaves or figs. Will not get enough to can any. I did the same thing 5 years ago to the tree, so we won't do that again.
Randy, I had to cut mine down and plant another in a different place. While waiting for it to mature I'd been getting some from my BIL who had a tree but doesn't eat the figs. For some reason he chopped it down. I only found out 2 days ago. Now the search goes on.
