Has to be more to this story. Nice mess of fish.
Uff da, lookit dem crappies!!!!! Holy buckets!!!
So tell us MORE. What lake, what on, etc.
It's not like we'll all come swarming up there.
You catch Crappie everywhere you go. Good job.

I am jealous need me one of those north trips. We will be looking for the toothy pics.
Great catch! Beautiful color on those fish. Must be that cold water that makes 'em that color.:ThumbsUp
The story is that I come all this way to catch walleye and yellow perch and can't leave the crappie catching behind. The locals say minnows or a bare hook under a bobber is the only way to catch them, but I found a 1/16 oz chartreuse tube jig works just fine. They are thick and fight like a bass.
Better get into those walleye while you can. Hope the weather good where your at.
Oh, and we're on Bowstring Lake, Northern Minnesota. Weather is nice so far, it's about 60 degrees this morning, with low humidity.
Looking forward to some walleye pics!
Nice! We didn't do much as far as crappie and walleye a few weeks ago in Northern MN but bass and those fish with teeth sure kept us busy. Have fun and enjoy.
JEALOUS:mad:
Good job Tommy. I like the picture also. hope that you are having fun. Did you take your boat with you or rent one ?
Very nice. But them eyes would be calling my name.
Ok,ok, I jagged long enough to catch three crappie today........ And the walleye hunt was on,,, we caught quite a few of them but can't get the size we want. The biggest the entire resort has caught since Saturday has been 16". We are getting a lot of 14 to 16 inch waters tho. Frank I rented a resort boat.
:cheers2 Hope your having fish for dinner and some cold beers.
Stay on them brother
I wish I was in MN!
Ahhhhh, 70 degrees and low humidity, I just wish the eyes were bigger.
Great report. Are you staying at a resort, and, if so, what is the name? Thanks, Steve
Just got the pic of the name of the resort.
One last question. Did you take your boat and, if so, how was the ramp? Thanks again, Steve.
Ramp is good but steep, its concreted. I rented a resort boat, for the price of renting a slip my little boat wasn't justifiable to bring it.
Were you catching the crappie in brush piles?
No brush here, they orient to rock piles (foot high humps of natural rocks) or drop off, usually rocks
That's a good picture Tommy.
Should get it developed and put in a frame.
Have fun. Truman will be here waiting when you get back.
Looks like fun. What lake are you on? Love to eat yellow perch.
Bowstring y
What's the limit on crappie up there?
