The pos is a kohler courage 20hp. They are throw away engines. 6 years is what I got out of it. 5 years out of the 19hp briggs on a craftsman. Basically im spending 400 a year on lawn mowers lol.Quote:

Probably beating a dead horse here but they say ethanol gas is really tough on these small engines. Ive got one gas station that sells no-ethanol in premium but its on other side of town. Ive been putting the treatment in gas jug an hoping for the best?
I have been running my John Deere zero turn for nine years now on ethanol gas.....no problems.....always starts good and runs good. It has a Kawasaki engine....25 hp

G is right you can't beat a Kawasaki!! Have ran the fire out if them on zero turn mowers. 60 yards a week, for years no problems.
The one I had before this one I mowed my three acre yard for 25 years with it no problems.....sold it to a friend 5 years ago and its still going strong.
