Its more than likely just seized, gona need a press or a big ole hammer.
-
I hate whacking on something I'm not sure of the outcome....I've been known to break unbreakable stuff
-
Want me to come wop it for ya?????:biggrin
Knock the pee out of it!!!!!!

I wouldn't want to beat on it much as that looks like a torsion axle and you could damage it.......best to remove axle and take it to a machine shop or trailer shop and get that spindle pressed out.

Use a little heat. Torch will cause outer housing to expand and bearing/hub/spindle may slip right out?

Trailer spindle
Some are removable some are not. UFP style hubs do not have removable spindles. Yours looks like the type that are pressed in. From reading different forums, I understand the you have to beat the crap out of them sometimes to get them out. You might try a heat wrench on it first.

Your new hub looks like a Vortex hub. They are the ones Ranger is switching over too. 100,000 maintenance free.

If you can come up with a two jaw puller and put it on the back side with the jaws attaching to the spindle housing and the puller bolt pushing on the spindle it might would break loose and come on out.

Tapered suspension parts take pressure to remove normally, a little heat and a good rap should do it. Be careful with the heat Feelay, don't want the whole arm hot, just right around that spindle. I'd rather knock it out than press it out myelf using some heat.

get a can of compressed air like you use on a computer keyboard, turn it upside down and spray that shaft down and then wap it with a hammer and it will come out. that shaft will get so cold you wont be able to touch it for 30 minutes afterwords without freezing your hand. I did it on a clothes dryer once to get a bearing out. You can take the new piece and put it in the freezer for a couple hours and make it go in a lot easier also.
