Who's gonna tell the first fish tale ?

O.K. ,Let me go first. Hit Wylie at day thirty this a.m. Met up with a bunch of birds that shoulda stayed in and got a little more beauty sleep. O.K. a lot more. Anyway we all took off in several directions. Had Searay and buddy Marion. CrappieKidd and co-worker Derrick. Think I got it right. S.S.Remus with BigDawwgg and FishFinder 8 aboard. My crew bailed at last minute. But we aint skeered. After an hour or so everyone ended up in the same spot. Even had Charles Biggers come out to visit. The jerk was on. Couldnt get a bait on bottom before it was perch on. Will let others tell how they came out. I gave away 52 out of my boat and threw back another 20 or so. They were from 15 fow out to 30. Cuaght em on minners, spoons ,shiny hinnees and even bare hooks. It was fun but got real hot real quick. I cheated and had my fan and umbrella set up early. Cant do that heat like a few years back. ofish, I think you said it Right somebody should've slept late, I am sorry to tell you this but man you could scare the feathers off the buzzards that were circling. I am not sure what Remus said but it sounded like 137 plus throw back. fishfinder8 was hammering them 2 at a time for awhile plus pulling in a few on my rods when I wasn't paying attention. I didn't take a picture of the fish but there was no room what so ever in the live well. It was a good time for sure and some people missed out on it. Glad to see everyone again and enjoyed the company from everybody. We had a good time on the USS Remus II. A minnow man and his net!! :):) Good to see ya'll found where they were biting and pulled a lot of them out of the lake. Looks like a good time with all the boat bunched up together. Thanks for the reports and pictures :ThumbsUp

Man had a great time. Derrick my friend from work it was is first perck jerk and he had a blast. All he kept saying was this is insane. Glad I got to see my new net floats and it did not float to the bottom. Fish count all I knew was we blew through at least 7 dozen minnows. Remus we ended the day catching some crappie at the last place. Derrick caught a white perch on one hook and a big crappie on the other hook. Even got out a single pole and spooning off of the bottom.
Thanks Remus for those trained Minnows they did good.

We all had a great time and removed a sizable part of the perch population. We lost count in our boat, but it was upwards of 50.

Still getting used to the new boat but so far I really like it.

One quality picture out of the entire batch, congrats Ray for the award winning floating perch pic, it never gets old, love it! Way to go guys, excellent day of perch eradication.

Now that group looks like theyre having ALOT of fun and that's what it's about. Might have to learn some perch jerking myself and get some of the locals around here interested. I've certainly seen alot on my graph like those Searay is showing so there should be PLENTY around. Congrats to all you guys on a fun and productive day.

BTW...John, are you that ugly one you was talking about that needed more sleep? Looks like nobody wanted to fish with you so I was just wondering.:biggrin

let me get my :twocents worth in :biggrin had a great time fellers we split 137 between Craig and a couple fellers at the landing == Craig was looking pretty sad till them fellers showed up thought he was gonna have to dress all them fish LOL. I didn't have time to help him .
started off from Ebenezer with just two of us (Searay & marion and the uss uncle remus crew) headed toward the dam to a spot where the bite was so hot you had to hide behind Bigdawgg to bait your hook :yikes then ofish showed up then C-K & derrick was not long till dawgg said is that Charles Biggers over there I looked and he had snuck that quiet running Yamaha in on us -- good to see you again Charles -- we still need to make that run to Wateree -- we fished that spot out and Charles moved up to Allison and ran across some biters there and Ray and Marion joined him there == the Remus II ofish and C K boats stopped in a little cove on the way and finished up our morning there. it was a hot day hot bite and hot time enjoyed my day with you guys and am looking forward to our next trip Uncle Remus

Captain / Guide Uncle Remus. Thank you again for the great time out perch jerking. Yes Sam the only one drinking the water out of the orange jug was BiggDawg:puke! But man, was BiggDawg whining and crying all morning!!!:( He was sitting closet to the live well and he kept getting splashed by all of the fish!! But anyways we had a blast jerking them perch!!

I had 137 showers plus a few repeats when they jumped out and was put back in. It was cool until the water ran down my back to the crack then it was just a little weird feeling sitting on a wet seat. Every time I moved there was a squeaking noise and I was blamed for farting.:dono It's a wonder FF8 didn't fall over board from leaning out and away from me. :Rofl I know better next time not to sit there!:banghead

Sure blame it on the fish ! nonono

Also Big Dawgg was saying the smell was from Bird Farts!:banghead
