didn't sand, the pvc was old and has a rough surface.

Simple, easy to make, light weight, almost snag proof...well done. Please allow me to say with even a little natural cover shallower from it think it might be 2-?X more effective. We discovered this thru lots of experience. Adding some "BB"s or "C" trees 10- 20` away will raise it`s effectiveness FAR more than you may think...
Lowell, if you take a closer look, it is not so light weight. There is an old hay ring there as a base and weight to hold it in place. Was thinking of putting porcupines in the vicinity as well.
My bad, still think it`ll work. Adding some natural cover near by couldn`t hurt...
I'd cut that hay ring in half and make another condo just like this one.
