Probably to something like 200/83, don't you think? You can always experiment on the water.
Well I know it 83/200 bit didn't know if anybody had one that worked best. There is several different ones.
Always ur HD transducer. But...... that may or may not be an option for you. If you are using the Universal Sonar your only option will be 2d. In this 2d setting you have 3 options of frequencies for most units. 83khz, 83/200khz, 200khz. The middle is a blended frequency. I personally prefer the 200khz set on max mode on my humminbirds with sensitivity set on low.
This allows you to be able to see your lure beneath the transducer.
It is 83/200 and you only get the 2D sonar. I am looking for a GPS/sonar unit for mine. I have a HB 385 combo on it now but the screen is just too small for me. I have an HDS7 also, but it has a rear mount ducer so would like a larger screen for the front.
Wish I could buy the HB Helix combo without the transducer.
Thanks guys I hope to try it this week
Buzzsaw is correct, use "Generic 83/200" from the selection.
Yes it is 83/200. But.... u can use 83khz, 83/200khz, or 200khz.
83khz=wider cone angle, less detail, less crisp image
200khz=narrower coner angle, more detailed images, more crisp images
83/200khz=blended of the 2 frequencies to make up an overlayed image.
Any of these 3 options can be selected with the US2 transducer. You can switch between the frequencies to "taylor" the image to your fishing needs.
Thanks I will try this I hope this week if the rain does not keep me from it.
