yep....got me a blue one there last Saturday.....
I like using them but can be a pain using long poles. Sure makes fishing more bearable in hot weather for sure !
Thanks for the info.
If that's the xl model, heckava deal...?
Ordered 1 few days ago for 59 and free shipping
Got mine at home Depot 19.95 last year! !!
Welp, got mine in today....not really pleased. Instead of the set-screw type adjustment it has the new and improved cam lever type adjustment to raise and lower it... Like a flip over lever. I tried to poke it in the dirt and it didn't hold, shaft slid back up into the pole part. Also instead of the flap part, wing if you will... having a clip to hold it up above the brealla it has 1 Velcro strap.
Of course it will still keep me shaded/dry!! Which was the goal I guess....I'd beech if was hung with new and soft rope!!
Not super pleased with mine either, got the XL. Got to figure out how to do the flap thing, not interested in sticking it in the ground so hope the new contraption will do for the boat.
How do you guys put them in your boat?
had to drill out the center seat pedestal about 1/64 inch and the umbrella pole fits perfectly Attachment 206362
Does it adjust high enough to stand up underneath it?
Welp,,,ima hater!! I hate I can't do anything with these flaps....guess I'm going to cut em off. Hard to look through them for trotline jugs. With only 1 Velcro strap and it's in the middle both ends flop in the wind when rolled up ..but on the other hand /shade was nice today
See post #23 & #28 on this link...I tied the flaps up to the round metal ring on the top center of pole...

Gene Johnson AKA EZ Pole Holder makes a really nice umbrella holder that fits on the seat pedestal. The umbrella will swing out of your way some to land a fish or allow you to pass between two seats up front. It is threaded with a set bolt to secure your sportbrella from being blown out of the holder by the wind.
I built two of the PVC holders and used heavy PVC but wind kept grabbing the umbrella and breaking the PVC. The umbrella holders that I purchased from Gene were money well spent. Gene can be found on the MS board and he is a super nice gentleman to do business with. Gene also designed the spyderlok rod holders.
Thanks for the post I have been trying to catch the sportbrella on sale to purchase another one. We keep one in the boat at all times for rain and shade this time of year.
