Rippin Lips Report
Well I finally kidnapped RiverScum 5/8/15 and put him in the back of the Triton. Worked a mid-lake hump (8 f.o.w surrounded by 16 f.o.w) and found a school of crappie a few Bass and some nice eater size walleyes. Crappies were caught on tubes 1/16 oz and road runners. Bass all came from dark green plastics. Wallyes came right after dark on small crank baits & jerk baits (perch color) RiverScum put the http://i1.ifrm.com/12797/58/emo/bdh.gif to me on the crappies and some nice Gills. Think I might put him in the front next trip.

5/10/15 Made it out on the water before the front hit. RiverScum had his usual seat reserved. Did not get another Grand Slam but it was close. Another good day on the water. Conditions were overcast and a front moving in. Water temp was mid-upper 60's. Worked a mid lake point with weedline on one side only. Fish aggersive but bite was not constant. Throwing green/black tube jigs 1/8 oz also very small crankbait (blue/chrome)

RiverScum & I hit it again today 5/14/1 to see how much the water temp dropped in the last few days. It dropped 5 degrees. Located fish in quite a few different locations & depths. Just not a lot of takers. Most fish were pulled back to first break. Bigger ones were staged half way down the break. Those run 12-14" All the dinks were in shallow. Not to bad of day considering the conditions. 40 degree temp 10-20mph wind out of the ESE. We both got just enough to have dinner & a late snack. I believe I had 12-13 and RiverScum had just a few more I believe.

RiverScum & I hit the water last night 5/28/15 to score on some crappie and some eyes. Caught some nice gills using beetlespins & tube jigs before dark right off the weed lines, with some smaller crappies running about 10" - 12". We hit the flats throwing crankbaits for some eyes and caught about 20 shorts. Moved off to the first break using jigs/twistertails and got into some keepers. They run from 15" - 22". Not a bad night following the front that came through. Thanks Cuz was fun. http://i1.ifrm.com/12797/58/emo/fishhook.gif

Well looking at radar @ 4:45pm yesterday looked pretty good. So I picked up a buddy from softball team and we headed out. 5:15pm storm pops up on radar and it looks nasty. We decided to launch and hope it is moving fast. Fishing a well known NE lake that has 3 state record fish caught out of it. (just a hint) for the northern boys. 5:45 heavy rain and then dime size hail (yes hail) and ridiculous east wind. By 6:30 storm had pasted ad we stated to fish again. Toughest day on water yet. Water temp 72 and dingy (for this lake) Landed 1 pike, 1 perch, 1 walleye, and a bonus. very small smallmouth with a minnow stuck in its mouth.

well polecat, cant always killum. yesterday, i drug crawlers all over george, from 6:00 till 1:00. got a few nice perch, 2 hammer handles, a few bass(1-17"er) and about 15 keeper gills. very disappointing for this lake! it used to give up really nice pan fish but seems to be dinkville this year? its a 25 fish limit lake too! so it should be overrun with huge gills rite! lol think ill let it rest for a few years and probe other gill waters.

I've had real good luck at George in years past through the ice. I haven't been back in the past two - three years though. it's kind of a long drive for me.

Nice slabs! I haven't caught the first crappie this year with worked over tails like yours. Shows that they have been hard at work spawning.
