That don't usually help the fishing any!
Yep.....just hope the crappies got some spawning done
Got to love turning it on and off like that. Makes for a real consistent bite:biggrin. We know your pain down here at Truman.
Two they started it Sunday morning. And they got that thing WIDE open too
Burton posted a pic on his Facebook. Highest release in 16 years!
I can see the flow from my house. Luckily I am up on a hill. Would hate to be those people who's duplex is right next to it

I like the fact that these two are neighbors and are just now figuring it out! :Rofl I guess that Smithville town is kinda big, hard to know your neighbors!! :biggrin
This town as grown so friggin big. I just turned 29. Have A wife and 2 kids. And live in the same house since I was 3 or so years old. This town has blown up in the last 10-20 years.
And my bad I haven't been on here as much as I would like too. I am starting to appear a lil more often. I spend most of my time online in missouriwhitetails. But there is a lot of good local guys here that can and do help one another out about smithville lake and navigation and what and where they are biting.
And we are not quite neighbors. I'm 3 blocks over
Went below the dam tonight and you would never know the lake was 10 foot high by the release. Zip, nada, nothing.
At the lake Lots of campers close to the water and boats and PWC's docked at picnic tables.
Yes sir. I went for a visit as well. Except I was at the playground. The wife told me she saw that Sunday is the day to let more water out. Heck. I was probably there the same time you were:bash
The Corps website was guessing that tomorrow they will resume releasing water.
I did see a motorcycle go by. Were you riding solo or with a partner
The wife
I wonder if they shut down the spillway yet. Dang rain anyhow
Someone turned on the fill switch again.
They should be releasing full bore right now, but they aren't. Corps site said they would start ramping up the release from 300 to 3000 by last night, but they are currently at 900 and holding. Hopefully today's rain is mostly downstream of Smithville and won't affect the release for too long.
Might not effect the release but will effect the level 3 to 5 inch in Plattsburg!!!!!!!!!!
