Word in town is that the Levee is leaking. I am shocked rainbow bridge has held up this well. Turns into a log strainer damn near every high water event. I'd be happy to have a year that was semi normal. You know like the Neosho not flooding out, and not going dry.
yes there were logs piled up against the bridge for a long distance pic does not show very well
Good pictures ;thanks.
Bumped it up to 10k today.
lake fish will be fat...
We tried to launch our boat down below in the quiet water but there was so much drift wood and junk could not get in. Was going to try for some flatheads
Took the kids down to look today. Lake is dropping roughly a foot every day. They are releasing 12k CFS. 6.67 billion gallons of water every 24 Hours. Only one person fishing and they weren't catching anything. Looks like more flooding rain coming for later this week.
anybody have any idea what it looks like up at the strawn boat ramp? We use to put in up on the river before the log jam and catch channels and flatheads before the log jam. Would be nice if all the logs were flushed out but that would take a small miracle. Thank you COE for trying to change the course of the river.
trying to remember the name of the creek that ran into the neosho up on the river...was it eagle creek?
can you even get a boat in at the ramp now? Was some real good fishing up there for sure back then.
No ramp on Redmond is usable. The lake is backed up to Neosho Rapids. The road to the Strawn ramp is under 10+ ft of water. Only usable ramp for eagle creek you have to go through Hartford to get to. I bet you can't get within 2 miles of it due to water over the road. Eagle creek isn't even connected with the river anymore.
