I use the square "tournament" bouys from Bass Pro and can't find a rack/holder to keep em out of way until needed. No luck at the usual stores. Any advice on where to buy or how to make one?

I use the 'Custom CMJ' buoys, and keep them in a Cabela's green storage box.........like a plastic ammo can. Everyone sells them, though. Pretty sure the square ones fit in there too. But I can't keep them from leaking........so I use CMJ's, and his idea for these is the Cat's Pajamas@!!!! Plus it's fun to use stuff you make........
6 inch or so cut off of a swimming noodle. Take 4 or 5 one ounce bullet worm weights and rub 'em with super glue, and stick 'em into the foam in a line. Let it dry. Cut however much line you want to reach bottom, and stick a weight on it.
Voila.
Why can none o' y'all spell GOOBER?
I used yellow twine, from Lowe's. I also write with a black sharpie the length of line, have various ones. I used duck decoy weights because they are flexible and they bend around the buoy.

Paint them black, I've painted all my bouy's black for years. It let's me mark brush piles then leave them out during the day and if I want to return to that pile chances are good no one else even seen it. I've seen folks almost run them over and never see them. (Old bass tourney trick)
I have painted some of mine black or brown before like sarge. I keep one bouy out on the front deck but store rest in a plastic box with a lid from the dollar store. Keep it in a storage compartment out of the way. If you have room good idea to buy enough boxes to organize everything in storage compartments. I keep fish cleaning supplies (fillet knives , plastic bags , rags ) in one , bouys in one , paper work in one , tools in one .
When I took my boat to the shop (still there) to fix the hole that the motormate made, or holes actually.......I took everything out of the boat. Everything that wasn't nailed down. First time I've done that since I bought it in 2007. I use my boat to store every fishing thing I have, so I don't put in, take out, put in, take out. Well, I'm rethinking that.
My entire carport, double at that, is covered with this stuff. A bird built a nest and is sitting on eggs, in some of it!!! I never had a clue I had so much stuff. I found 11 rolls of electrical tape. Guess I thought I would be alligator hunting. Lots of it IS in boxes! I have a lot of boxes.
How big a trolling motor is needed on a 50 foot yacht?
I am changing boats and I took everything out and now I don't know how it floated. Amazing how much stuff you can accumulate and the worst part was, I had forgotten most of this stuff was in there to start with.
Trying to do better with this one. Less places to hide stuff so that will help some.
I had the round plastic buoys that look like dumbells and I had the 3 slot holder that was made for them. It worked really well, but I left it on the boat I sold.
I like the dumbbell buoys with the holder. The Dumbbells match my personality really well. [emoji41]
The holder for the dumbbell bouys is what I want to replicate. When I come up with something I will post a pic!
I used a rubber tie down to hold my square bouys. I put the strap on the center of the "H". haven't lost one on the hiway yet. I would post a picture. but, I get my boat out only two or three times a year these days. I will forget too by then. DP
I like that idear. Thanks!
