Broke off just the end or broke it off down into the threads? A photo would help a lot.
am out of town. will get a picture when I return.
Here is a tool that will remove broken parts of a zerk and chase the threads if needed.
any idea where I can buy one of these.

Here is a list to start with. But I bet NAPA would have it.

Thanks, will let everyone know how it goes when I get back in town. paul
Ease out will work
That little tool is a life saver. Has an ease out...thread tap....and wrench. We use then ALOT on our trucks and trailers. Used it a few times today on a prentice loader. You never know how handy they are until you have one. Nearly any auto parts store will have them. As already said, napa, bumper to bumper, autozone, orielys. Take your pic. There are others tools that look very similar that work also. If you do any greasing on anything, one of those in your box is a must.
thanks all. am out of town until Tuesday and will try to get one and do the fix Wednesday. paul
does anyone know the size of the zerks on a 4 stroke 15 hp Mercury 1999-2001 model?
Don't know off hand. There are only a few very common sizes. Take it out and go to the parts store and they can match it. If you were a bit closer you could come and get one out of our boxes. We have ALOT of grease fittings....lol. Takes two to three tubes to grease a truck with a loader.
got her fixed, thanks all. paul
