New To Hemphill Area
My wife and I, both retired, just purchased a lake house on Toledo Bend near Hemphill next to Six Mile Creek Bridge. We are newbies to the lake life and certainly to Crappie fishing. We want to fit into the area and are certainly not too proud to take help or guidance. Hopefully we will be able to spend a great deal of our time out on the water.

Hey beebobber, welcome aboard. Where you coming from? Post on the Tx area and say hello. You live right down the street from Skiptomylou and snakeriver. Skip has been on six mile for years and can catch some fish and tie some jigs(Thumpit jigs) and can really help you along. Bob(snakeriver) is also new to Hemphill but not new to fishing and tying jigs(Bob's jigs).

All these people answering our post should know how to make people welcome. Thanks to all of you. I have been corresponding with Skip. Can't wait to meet him in person. Guess I'll meet Snakeriver. I'm a Bob also. Jack, I read about docking shooting. It seems like an awesome talent to learn. Seems like it would give you an edge.
We are coming from coastal Louisiana. We live as far south as one can get and almost in the center of the coast line. We're just minutes from the Gulf of Mexico. We are from a medium size city called Houma. The wife is sick and tired of the constant threat of hurricanes. Both of us were raised in the country, so Hemphill should be a perfect fit.
