whats the report on greeson
Hey coondog:
Had a pretty good trip on Greeson this morning. Kept 22 and most were over 13-inches with a couple at 14.5-inches and one at 15-inches. They were deep though. Most were 28 to 34-feet.
Very nice catch Jerry. just can't wait to get back down there.
Nice catch Jerry.
where would be a good place to fish on greeson jerry i mite go in the morning if i can get someone to go with me
Hey coondog:
Darryl, a couple other guys and I will be doing some scouting on Greeson in the morning and will be glad to put you on some condos. We caught all but three of our fish today on two different spots and I need to find some more condos that are holding fish. We'll be putting in at Kirby Landing about 7:45 so if you want to meet us there you are welcome to follow us around and help us look for them. :)
sounds good to me if i can get someone to go ill see u then
As always...Lookin' good Jerry.
From looking at the smiles I would say the boy on the left caught the most
It's a good thing Jerry and Jim caught fish, cuz the rest of us must still be recovering from the holidays. I only caught two and by gosh they knew it by the ninja, jedi knight way I setting the hook.

Jerry, is Greason a clear lake or something , why are these fish so deep? just wondering. thanks ted
Hey Ted:
Greeson is usually fairly clear but it's a bit stained right now from all the rain. I don't know why they are so deep. Last winter was the first I ever even tried fishing for them around 30-feet deep and that wasn't until February.
We can still find some around 18 to 22-feet deep but the better fish seem to be a lot deeper already this year. We see some schools of bait fish that deep so I guess they are going where the food is.
Most of the ones we are catching real deep are in one area - a 60-foot deep creek arm close to the main channel, which is about 70-feet deep.
Jerry how deep can you see a white jig and what is the surface water temp?
Surface temps have been right around 50-degrees for a couple weeks now. I guess we can usually see a jig 4 or 5-feet deep in and near the main channel and probably 2 or 3-feet deep up in the creek arms.
