I gonna give it a try this weekend if it quits raining.
I would just go to the nearest welding supply store and check their oxygen bottles and refill prices. Maybe a lot cheaper. Some even rent or lease the oxygen bottles.:twocents
If you're looking for oxygen bottles look on craigslist for someone getting rid of a welding rig with bottles, offer them less. Run the rig again on craigslist without the bottles at a cheaper price. Return the acct. bottle to a dealer and get the deposit back.
I have 3 MC rigs, paid $50 to $125 each. Each rig has $160 worth of bottle deposits.
Blueball, send BigRiverMarine a PM. Think he might be able to help you out.
I run oxygen on everything. Got a good system for a lot less.
Just get screw-on pediatric regulator on EBay. I have a whip(hose) that will let me refill my small bottle from a big shop bottle. Costs too much to refill them at a supply house.
You can go to Keep Alive on the web and read all you want about oxygen systems. They sell everything you need. You can look at the part numbers and order from cabelas as well.
We got a keep alive setup for $99. A 10lb bottle fits right in a fire extinguisher holder you can secure in your rod box or anywhere. That bottle lasts us at least 3-4 tournaments. The ceramic stone is the key for micro bubbles. Bought ours from aquatic services in GA. Can buy another stone and splitter valve for both minnows and live well. We have a whip and just fill them off of our torch set.
