I was watching that system on the radar last night and this morning. It was a doosey...and on top of what you've already gotten. Any bad flooding in your area yet??
Some of the docks on the lake are going under water. Few road closed but not a lot. Young boy drowned in Ruston this morning when car was swept away.
We got 6 and hlf inches in Sibley, LA this morning alone.
Bistineau and Dorcheat are going out of ithe banks and the Red River is just a foot below Flood stage
think we might need to build an ark.
No joke I saw a carp on a flooded road by my house, no ponds close by , just road ditch.
Looked like one large lake from 10 miles east of Many to about a mile west of Many. Waiting for news to see how much. Actually was running over hwy 6 in Many.
News on. Ten inches between Natchitoches and Many in 12 hours.
I don't have a gauge, but we got a lot of rain in Dodson too. And, here I am with a new jig pole to try out. Already got the Gray Ghost tied onto the business end of it. Maybe I should just hang me a couple of yo-yos on my mailbox in the ditch in front of my house. LOL.
We're getting at least an inch a day here according to my weather station that I have set up. And, I mean everyday. The horseflies are horrendous and big - one inch in length, if not longer. Very aggressive too. Reminds me of the ones we caught in West Texas as kids - tie sewing thread on them and fly them like kites. I have to roll up the windows coming down the driveway, watch them bounce off the glass. They bite hard real quick when they get close and on you. Wish it would dry up, humidity is so thick you can hear the water dropping off the trees. Times like this wish I was back in the Rio Grande valley of either South Texas or West Texas.
Saw in the paper today that the Red River in North Louisiana is at flood stage. Had a picture of a park there somewhere completely flooded.
