Those are the Ticket for those finicky biters
I couldn’t help but notice the Olive Drab Color on the second bait, as when I try using .040 blk Hex from Do-It with yellow it turns that color Grn.
Been trying to retain the yellow color with black Hex, but No matter how I apply the Blk. it just seems to turn Olive Drab Color :dono
Open to suggestions
billygee
Those look like they will get the job done.
It is the way that the glitter reflects on through the plastic it's funny I never had that problem on a yellow light use black glitter it's not saying that the other glitter colors will not reflect a different change in the color of the plastic but it is a lot of fun to work with each one of the glitters using a different color of plastic you never know what you can come up with. but believe me that was chartreuse green with purple glitter and come out looking olive.
I forgot to mention that some of the glitter that you buy from Walmart or a craft store some of the diet on the glitter will come off and changed the plastic color we bought some red glitter from Walmart in I put it in clear plastic it turned it pink of beautiful pink so be careful when you are buying glitter to make craft store or Walmart or some other store that sells glitter for craft.
in the picture those are 2 inch last summer I was using the 11/2" and we caught a tone of fish we will take the 2 inch size and tried here in Toledo because the fish run a little bit bigger I will post later on I also have a 3 inch size also which is a magnum.
Nice baits!!!
Yep got some craft glitter from hobby lobby and it melted to a white color and changed my intended Color of my bait. Won't use it anymore
Bob
Thanks for your input
this Black Hex is from Do-It (Not from Wal-Mart) and supposed to be made for their Plastisol Prod.
the issue is not in the reflection, but the Bleed is causing the color change.
I may have an excess of Blk powder residue in this batch.
Might PM Jerry see what he has to say.
billygee
I have black glitter from Do It in .015 and .040 and neither change the plastic color.call Jerry and ask for any ideas.
CTom
I sent Jerry a PM, see what happens.
I also have the.015 black, haven't tried it with yellow,
may give it a shot to see what results I get. :scratchhead

Jerry feels there maybe a temp issue, as I stay within the limits using my digital temp.
made a small 3oz batch batch of straight essential temped at 325-330 stirred in few drops of X2 yellow, maintained around 330* soon as a sprinkle of the Black Hex was added it instantly was turning green.
left it bleed a bit, started to add more X2 yellow, which made it start to Yellow, just clouded loosing the black Hex, also loosing it's clarity. :scratchhead
Have you tried maintaining a yellow color with any dark glitter colors without having them bleed ? :dono
Starting to become an obsession for me, as I remember having a Beetle Spin that was a vibrant Yellow with Black Glitter which worked on those finicky Biters.
billygee
No I haven't tried their black glitter with yellow but will tomorrow. I'll post back tomorrow. Any certain yellow combo you want me to try or you just want me to chose?
DrNip
Basically just the large Blk Glitter, I was using essential then a couple drops of X2 yellow got it to around 320 - 330* soon as I started sprinkling in the glitter you could see the Bleed.
by the way thanks ahead of time for giving this a try, it will certainly will clear up some other pending questions I have.
