Bream are on the bed!!

Bream are on the bed at pickwick here in West Tn. We loaded 76 in the boat this Thursday evening. Attachment 202516 Attachment 202517

Now is the time of year to put some gills in the boat. Hope to bring a few more in this week.

Attachment 202518 The first cooler pic was from Tues evening. We only landed 34. This pic is from Thursday. I got them confused lol. Biggest was just over ten inches. Pretty good size gill for Tn.

I just scrolled through the Tn board. Not one thread about pickwick, unless I over looked it. It's a great lake to fish I've just got to learn more about it.

What size jig and line you use? Float and cricket? Never caught them but wanna try this weekend for sure.

I caught them with a float on a cricket. I'm using braided spiderwire line. It's 4lb diameter but 15lb test. I really like the braided spiderwire.

I don't know where you are from but here (Tennessee) the bream are on the bed in the shallows. We caught these in about 4 foot of water fishing 1 foot or so deep.

I live in savannah just getting into fishing last few years mainly crappie. My cousin has been wanting to go and thought she'd like this if I could figure them out.
