I was wondering if the boat ramp at the mouth of town creek, Wilson lake is still open? I was looking on google earth and it looks like a lot has changed since I've been there about 15 years ago! Thanks Mike

No. It's all private land now. Looks like a big house subdivision. Was there today.
Thanks for the information Earl . I guess the boat ramp below wheeler is the closest ramp to town creek now?
Yea its the closest. There is another ramp along River road its called TVA park IIRC.
Just letting you know those huge shell crackers are on bed at Town Creek. Caught about 17 and some bluegill. Tuesday. I've caught them everywhere in the south. I swear none is bigger than it that place. I got a pic of one. If I can get it together.
are they way in the back or out on the weed beds near the mouth? I found some today in six mile creek on Wilson way up in the creek. They were easily spooked because of the clear water. I did manage a load of gills from some beds nearby only got a couple crackers.
Might take my mom if she feels like it after the Dr appointment in the morning. She used to love to fish. Shes getting on in years 80 now.
These were taken about ten years ago. She had a blast catching big blue cats on Wilson Lake.
Rick and Earl that's what I was after the big shell cracker. Me and my wife caught a few Saturday afternoon close to the mouth on he weed beds. We had a couple that was 11" fish!
Nice! I went but just got into the brem beds, caught a crappie too :) Mom didnt feel up to it :(
Those are some nice shell crackers!!
Rick, there either real shallow in front of double head resort or deep along the channels in the front or side. If shallow. You got to be very silent. No trolling motor. Use the paddle or wind. Cast well ahead of you to keep from spooking them.
Thanks Earl, With the Rain were getting im sure its muddy water city over there right now. Ill remember for next year though. Did you check out that thread I started in the Brem forum, I am finding beds using Google Earth. :)
