Boat noise - just a little gripe
Just a little fun griping. We were leaving Jordan on Saturday and this guy was getting ready to take off from the dock and his boat nearly put me deaf. It was a pleasure boat with an inboard and above water exhaust. I tied off at the ramp and my daughter stepped out on the dock just as the guy started his boat. I thought my poor daughter was going to jump to the other side of the lake. The man and woman on that thing couldn't even talk to each other it was so loud. They just kept yelling. I told my daughter to plug her ears like I was doing and just laugh. Oh how I love to fish in the winter months.
Done that...got the tee shirt

(The law states [No person shall operate a personal watercraft on the watersof this State at greater than no-wake speed within 100 feet
of an anchored or moored vessel, a dock, pier, swim float,
marked swimming area, swimmers, surfers, persons engaged
angling, or any manually operated propelled vessel (except
within 50 feet in a narrow channel)). Other laws also cover the reckless endangerment of people and property.
As for the skiers, I have been tempted to accidentally cast an old plug, with several treble hooks, into their path. You might get sued, but they would have to prove that that it was intentional, and the 100 foot rule would be in your favor.
As far as the boat noise, get ear plugs; there's no law on it that I know of, yet, but contacting our legislators might change that.

The day I got harrassed by the wakeboarder, I chased him down ( wakeboats usually don't go too fast. I took pictures, as the jerk in the water pointed to his boat numbers. My wife , 14 year old son, and I then moved out into open water. A center console passed us playing a song saying " Myrtle Beach! G**D*** MF, Myrtle Beach"! It was all I could take. Called WRC.Not much they can do without witnessing the incident. With all these people moving down here from states where being an ******* is virtue, it may be best for people like me to fish during the week or at night. Sorry to be blunt, but, it's a character flaw I have,
