Looks like a Bluegill to me
TY. Did not look like a typical BG from this lake. It had alot of spots and bluish sides.

That is a green sunfish.
I would go with the cross called gillcrackers in these parts. I think the green Sunfish would have the yellow or orangish fin tips.

That's a hybrid Bluegill....prolly fishin a stocked pond........they take on that light blue color..and body is fat like a Green Sunfish. hybrid bluegill ( bluegill/ green sunfish cross)
