Anybody ever wade it for panfish?
I've never waded in my boat. [emoji12]
If you are referring to War Eagle Creek in NW Arkansas, my Uncle fishes it often and catches flathead catfish, smallmouth bass, spotted bass, largemouth bass, rock bass, green sunfish, and longear sunfish. We has also been known to try to catch gar for the fun of it.
I don't know about their higher end boat but I know their 15-16 alum's take a se-ris licking and just keep on ticking. One tuff arse Little boat. Been beating mine to death on Conway for 15 years and still have not put a dent in it. Let me tell ya me an Greg have hit some things in them that would make you feel you been launched into outer space on Conway. LOL
Mines brand new, one season in the duck woods has put a few dents in it.
Very good boats tho..
I almost waded in the boat, it was raining so hard and the bilge pump got blocked by a piece of Styrofoam while fishing for crappie. I was going to pull the plug and takeoff so the boat would empty. Glad i found the problem.
It's cute how a difference in locality can open up a world of comedy.
RE: War Eagle Creek (famous LOCALLY for brown bass): I'm taking a bluegill rig out there this evening; hope I don't break a rod...
I think I have enough lol :)
Don't let em get your feathers ruffled Chuckie! Hope you caught a bluegill or 2?
Back in my prime I used to love to wade fish. I would drive the hour or so from Sherwood to the swinging bridge on a Sunday afternoon and wade around in my shorts and catch trout. Back and knees wont allow it now. I must have froze them too much. DP
This being the "Arkansas" forum, I assumed most thread readers would be familiar with the creek; you're forced to wade fish it, for the most part, on the Hwy 23S stretch just south of Huntsville. Like you, I pretty much grew up fishing creeks. Lotta fun. Difference is, now I wear Lacrosse Venom 18's and don't get my boots wet unless I have to as opposed to sloshin' around haphazardly all day in Mocassinville.
I fished it years ago with a Rebel crankbait with a bream killer trailer ten inches back. Catched ever thing in the creek. Wading.
