question....If we were catching crappie while chunkin a crank bait in tree tops would it have worked if we would a pulled a couple cranks back and forth in the same area we were throwin? would it have possibly been a more efficient way to fish the same area?Quote:

Nice catch. I've about give up on pulling crankbaits - too many catfish for me. Maybe it's just Toledo Bend, don't know. I've long lined with Skip using road runners who is a master at the technique. I do enjoy that.

Where were you fishing.
6 Mile onToledo Bend. This year was really different for me, but had to cast to the weed lines for a whil and then long line 6' to 7' for a while and then it got to 9' water and last weekend it was 15' to 16' water around Hydrilla and some stumps. Usually fish around lots of stumps and Hydrilla.
