I also like to make a batter and deep fry them. We are a little bit behind you guys on the Morels this year.
Saltine crackers in a blender for breading. Rinse in salt water dip in egg wash and coat with cracker crumbs. Be sure to cook until crispy and golden brown before turning.

what do you look for when morel hunting? inconsistant as far as finding them myself.
