Got my plans from trip hazard.com
I'm glad you finally gave in and just mounted that Garmin to use ...
Get us some pix now ...

Ok...I give up ...!!
What's the combination padlock for ...??
Rickie
PS,
is it detrimental to leave the ducer cable just all coiled up like that.
Will it produce interference?
I've coiled them up like that before while ice fishing and my current bow unit...never had a problem
Any coils in the xducer cable is not as important as how close the xducer cable is to the TM cable ...
Get it as far away from the TM cables as possible (and this includes the TM wiring hidden under the deck from the plug back to the battery) ...
Rickie
By TM cable you mean the power cable?
I can run a big loop 1/2 way around the boat
will get it out on the water 1st to see what it's like now
Any part of the TM voltage current path from the battery thru the boat's hidden wiring ... And all the way from the boat's TM plug to the armature/windings in the motor housing is suspect ...
RFI/EFI can be radiated outward from anywhere along this voltage current path ...
Rickie
But it's too late in the case, correct?
The twisting needs to be in the cable.
Like a invisible pet fence setup
That is why, back in the dark ages of home phones with a wire attached, the cable serving the house was a "twisted pair".
That old 22/4 station wire would cross talk and pick up all kind of interference. Oh the old days.
The point is to know where the entire circuit is feeding power from the TM batteries to the TM itself ...
And keep the electronics cables away from it ...(if at all possible) ...
