That's a great idea, thanks for sharing.
When it comes to fishing "where there is a will there is a way". Nothing stops a fisherman when he really wants to go fishing you provide this right here. Good job with the ladder. You did get a patent on it didn't you. This could be the next $$$$$$ product.:yikes
Very nice job and idea....... these new pickup's kinda suck for height anyway......can't reach a thing if it is in the middle of the bed.......
Thanks for the post,I have been thinking of something along that line,I am recovering from a blown out hernia surgery and the doc said hitting the hard concrete coming out of the truck bed was harder on an older person,Told me not to do that anymore,Heck,70 ain't old
I've been thinking along the same lines, was wondering about this; Traxion Tailgate Ladder, Model# 1-00040 | Truck Bed Accessories| Northern Tool + Equipment
Nice fab job on the ladder.
:ThumbsUp
Innovative idea
To reach things in my truck bed, I use a bed length 1x1 stick with a deck screw sticking out at 90 degrees on one end. I can easily retrieve things from the bed.
Now we need something to hang onto the boat as we get in and out
I seen that at boat ramp the other day and that's a killer design and great idea!!! PATTEN PATTEN!!! 👍👍👍
All we need now is a picture, or a way to make an extension on our cane's lol
great idea! make sure those short arms, on top, are tight. lol
I like the idea, but for me I think it would be better to hit the ground with the legs instead of the tire. I say this because I am a large guy. JMO
Dpisani; I think the reason would be that on a boat ramp it is at a slope and the legs would not be even at times. So with the legs not touching the ground he eliminated this problem.
I tore my hamstring yesterday getting in and out of my boat,,,, I actually got my shorts pantleg hung up around trailer jack while swinging my leg over and as I tried bring my foot down, my leg snapped backwards as it snagged the trailer jack no tore my shorts and my hammy,,,, I laid in the back of my truck until I stopped feeling so sickly and could see again,,, Then I just hobbled back into the house,,,, I went from 110 mph and going fishin to a dead stop and crawling back into the house within seconds,,,lol,,,Be careful folks,,,Boats are dangerous,,,
ifish; You did not tell the main reason for the ladders placement being where it is. I am thinking that would be because most boat ramps are fairly shallow and the back of the truck is out in the water by the time the boat and trailer is deep enough. So you are still able to get in and out of truck without getting your feet wet. Other than not having to climb and jump down from truck. Like I said earlier this was a very good idea that you have. Thanks for sharing.
Genius!
What we need is something attached to the trailer tongue with a step or two and a pole or something up about three or four feet that we can balance on. I found some on the web but they were $300-400.http://www.easystepsystem.com/images/gallery/67.jpg
When I got old I may have to have something like that:Rofl
