I have plenty of room what size golf cart batteries do I need if I run two of them? Are they that much better than regular batteries
Call BRM .... he has a good deal on the cart batterys
I want to do it right the first time so that's why I'm asking I'm going to put him on board charger also

Get a MinnKota charger....The newer models are digital and very easy on batterys....won't boil out the water like some do. I have a MinnKota 330D three bank charger. They are expensive but you get what you pay for.

Thank y'all!
just bought 2 27DC2 deep cell batteries from Advance auto 106.99 apiece, 160 reserve hrs, if you go on line and get there coupon you can get 40.00 off each battery, (you will have to buy one, one day and the other the day after) Not sure how they will work yet, but "G" was saying highest reserve hrs. What I was told is that the numbers 24,27, 31 all mean dimensions of battery. I just took out 2 27's That were 140 hr reserve, lasted 4 years. Hope this helps
^^^ I believe this is the answer. I've always got 2 years out of batteries.. Regardless of brand. I changed to one of those smart charger things that you leave plugged up 24/7 and is supposed to cycle? Or load? Or do something to the battery and this month makes 3 years on My batteries! Way I see it is the charger has paid for itself
The golf cart batteries have a whopping 292 reserve amp hrs. Reserve amp hrs are rated at 25% draw.
With 3 cart batteries, i can slow troll 3-4 days useing my terrova 112 without chargeing if i need to. I can run all over the place from 1- 3mph single poleing for 10hrs, and they will be fully recharged by the next morning. If weight isnt an issue in your boat, cart batteries are the way to go.
I got four years out of the Maxx marine group 29 batteries from Wal Mart.
I bought a stowaway battery back when they first came out from wal mart they were good back then as it lasted for over 5 or 6 years. It is unusual now to get half that many years from a well used trolling motor(marine) battery now days. Not to even talk about the lawn mower batteries not lasting from one season to the other. And another thing is why do car and truck batteries have a 5-6 year warranty and others like marine, lawn, and atv batteries only a 1-2 year warranty. I think they have a device in batteries that know when the warranty goes out and when you are in a bind and need them to work they just go dead. Good for battery sales bad for the buyer$$$$.
Here is a picture of a Stowaway battery like I had it even had a little glass on the top that indicated the battery charge. If the indicator was green good to go if red needed charging. I don't even know if they still make these as our wal mart stopped selling them years ago.
