Lots of blacks found in SEMO the last two days....sadly I wasnt there. Checked my yellow spots here in S IL this mornin and nothin....looks good but still a several days out for yellows here.

Close, but not quite here in central Illinois. Noticed some Trilliums poppin' up today while getting skunked Crappie fishn n the Kayak.
A buddy of mine found 150 in southern Illinois yesterday. They are here, just not in good numbers yet..... Spring is here!!!
They are up in the southern part of the state. They should be some up here in about a week or less with all this rain. Should be a good year.
Dang the luck, I'm on vacation next week to chase those thunder chickens. I'll have to look for some shrooms too.
I would like to walk up on a patch like this. Still a little early here.
No good in my neck of the woods for me yesterday. A few Greys have been found by some friends but not many.

I still got a half bag of hens left too but really could go for some morels. On a good note, I did find some old dried up hen last year while deer hunting so I will have more this year.
Went scouting yesterday and am excited that I scheduled a week off for shroomin' and Kayak Crappie fishing starting Thursday.
Checking Southern Brown county on Thursday/Friday while turkey hunting.

If someone found them around Bloomington I'd like to see some proof. It's been too cold here. Haven't found a single morel from Western McLean thru Eastern Vermillion counties and many places between..... I believe we are still a week away here.

I've seen a few from some surrounding counties but not many. Micro-climates play a huge role in where they fruit first.

Found a small mess a few days ago around dead elms, but hope it gets better.
Down at Truman right now fishing but they have had a great morel season around here.
